Inclusive Design Programme

We have launched the call for participants for the Inclusive Design programme. This is an introductory course on Inclusive Design, Accessibility and human diversity.

The programme is open to anyone between 14 and 24 years of age, to help them exercise their abilities to listen to other people’s needs, stimulate their empathy and discover human diversity as first steps in becoming inclusive designers. It is free to attend and funded by the European commission as part of the Erasmus+ programme.

Participants will complete empathy workshops, test accessibility products, complete exercises on identifying the obstacles faced by people with diverse abilities, genders, age. Participants will additionally learn about latest technological devices and softwares designed to improve accessibility and inclusivity in a community setting.

They will be accompanied by a group of facilitators from Digijeunes and AMAIS – a Bucharest based NGO that has been applying the principles of inclusive design through architecture, technology and social projects for the past seven years.

This job shadowing activity is part of the Jobs of the Future project. For this project we are providing several different mobilities throughout 2020-2022 aiming to give young people the opportunity to explore a variety of tech occupations, from digital advertising to rapid prototyping and digital fabrication. Each mobility focuses on one of our partner companies and their area of expertise.
