Job Shadowing Activities

The Job shadowing activities are an opportunity to learn about some of the fastest growing occupations in the tech sector.

They are powered by the Jobs of the Future project and will take place across summer and autumn 2022.

They are open to groups of youth aged 13 tà 30 yo from all over europe. Participants will engage in hands-on activites related to serveral different tech disciplines, and be tutored by maker educators and professionals.

Participation to all three programmes is free of charge! All expenses (travel, accomodation, etc.) are covered for by the organizers.

Medusa Digital: advertising and extended reality

The first job shadowing activity will take place from June 20th to June 24th, 2022 in La Fouillade, France, a small town near Toulouse. You will be introduced to the work of medusa digital in the fields of VR, machine learning digital advertising. By the end of the activity you will have explored practical applications of latest tech in the fields of industry and advertising.

In order to apply you need to complete this registration form. Although there are no entry requirements as such, we expect this activity to be highly oversubscribed, so we recommend you to provide exhaustive answers to the questionnaire.

Vectorealism

Vectorealism: rapid prototyping and digital fabrication

The italian job shadowing activity will take place at Vectorealism, a digital fabrication and CAD service based in Milan, Italy.

You will be able to witness the work of CAD designers and cnc machinists, you will explore practical manipulations to get a taste of what working in digital fabrication is like.

Two identical job shadowing activities are foreseen for autumn 2022, the first one will take place from November 7th to November 11th, the second one from November 14th to November 18th.

AMAIS: Inclusive Design

AMAIS is a romanian NGO whose mission is to create an inclusive society by making use of tools and competences from urban planning and architecture.

This programme at AMAIS is about tech topics such as Assistive technologies, inclusivity and accessibility.

You will be tutored by urban planners and architects and explore this field of work through practical manipulations.

The programme will take place in Bucharest, from September 19th to September 23rd, 2022.
